Allan Giberti On Wednesday, we learned, once again, that there is no Russian collusion, and no obstruction of justice. Still. Once again, the Democrats have put their eggs all in one basket and at this point, they should really start thinking of having their cholesterol checked along with their mental faculties. They did it with the Mueller Special Counsel’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election. The Democrats have screeched, for over two years, about Trump/Russia collusion and Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) both have stated that they’ve seen the proof of collusion with Russia. And then the report hit. No collusion. No obstruction. Suddenly, the once revered Robert Muller has been knocked down a few pegs and the only option left is the obstruction of justice route. That requires hauling Robert Mueller in to testify. This is the same Robert Mueller who during his press conference said that the report is his testimony and he would not go beyond that. The Department of Justice directed Robert Muller not to stray from the confines of the report. Of course, the Dems flipped over that, but the funny thing is that Muller’s team requested such a directive from the DOJ. What did the Democrats expect to happen? Certainly not the train wreck we witnessed. That disaster raises its own questions such as, who was actually in charge of the investigation? Robert Mueller’s name may be on the report, but he clearly has no idea what’s in it. He knew way too little about his own investigation because he didn’t run it. The Democrats main goal was to get support from the American people in order to begin impeachment hearings. In reality, they got slapped down and lost more support again. They lost in 2016, they lost with the fake Russian collusion hoax and they lost even more support. Don’t get me wrong. I think the Democrats are still tossing around the idea of impeachment. For some of these Democrats, the train left the station for crazy a long time ago. Wednesday’s embarrassment is in no way a deterrent. They wanted more than anything for Robert Muller to say President Trump committed a crime to further impeachment proceedings, and the only thing they accomplished is now being farther away from impeachment than they were yesterday. Now they are rallying around the evidence of obstruction of justice. Here’s a question for you. Is that evidence actual absolute proof, beyond the shadow of a reasonable doubt of guilt? It’s sad and horrific that most of these people have attended law school. Evidence is not proof of a crime. And while we’re at it, I’m glad it was made clear that the Attorney General does not have the power to exonerate anyone. We should all be outraged about the narrative the Democrats are pushing. Innocence is assumed, not guilt. In America, we are innocent until proven guilty. We are not a nation where we have to prove our innocence. We do not conclusively prove someone’s innocence. Everyone could see that the Democrats weren’t prepared for this. They need to get impeachment rolling as soon as they can. Why? Well, despite the Democrat’s lack of intertest into HOW the Russia probe began, the Attorney General is quite interested and concerned. Now with Christopher Steele, the author of the fake Russian dossier now talking with Inspector General Horowitz, some Democrats have a reason to be anxious. There was collusion. It involved, the Hillary Clinton Campaign, the DNC, Fusion GPS, Russia, the mainstream media, James Comey, Rod Rosenstein, etc. Yes, our democracy was hacked, but it was from within. That was made clear during the hearing. Now we need to investigate the investigators. President Trump said today that he thinks this will hurt the Democrats in 2020 and I believe that he is right. The “insurance policy” that Lisa page and Peter Strzok was there for everyone to see. Did this move the needle on impeachment? Nancy Pelosi knows if they start impeachment proceedings without public support they might as well just hand election over to President. Rep. Al Green’s call for impeachment was voted down last week but he also believes that if they do begin to impeach, more Americas will eventually get on board with it. It’ll be a miracle if the Democratic party makes it to the 2020 Presidential election in one piece. Allan Giberti is the host of RI Red Radio on 990WBOB.com.
