Laurie Piatkowski I was up in Maine a few days ago, and decided to go to my favorite watering hole Brays Brew Pub in Naples Maine. Walked inside, sat down and turned my head to the black chalk board on the wall, it has all of the Brays fresh beer that they brew and its on tap. I have always enjoyed Brays IPA's so Epicurean IPA it is. This IPA is a light colored, heavily hopped IPA with a amber color, thick, white, really sticky head. The aroma is floral and pine, mostly pine. It has an earthy tone, and its not too aggressive. At 7.00ABV its a good beer, not to heavy. This beer is made all year round so it's definitely available the only thing is you kinda have to go to the restaurant to get it, and they don't bottle it for individual sale I would know I asked. I guess that's why it tastes so good. If anyone does does get the chance to go to Naples Maine I would definitely go to Brays it is just before the causeway. It has blues music almost every night so you will never get board with good people and really good food to pare this place is a diamond in the ruff. Overall I liked the beer, the aroma of the floral and pine filled my nose with love and almost beer its self. Check out the website braysbrewpub.com they make many different beers from the IPA to stouts. |
