Check out what's going on below: 2/11 - 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast @ The Spot 101 Richmond Street Providence, RI This week's edition of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast at The Spot in Providence promises to be a good one with Mr. Whodo, The Nymphidels, The Pabst Blue Grass Boys and For The Love Of Sloane rocking the stage. With comedy being hosted by funnyman Doug Key, a great atmosphere, wide selection of drinks, tasty food and cool pieces of art on the walls, Mondays On Blast is the perfect way to kick off your week. Along with the awesome music and comedy, it's also free. 2/12 - Aesop Rock @ Paradise Rock Club 967 Commonwealth Avenue Boston, MA Underground hip-hop legend Aesop Rock will be spittin' rhymes and droppin' dimes at The Paradise Rock Club on Tuesday that is definitely the show that every hip-hopper in Beantown should go to. Fellow MC Rob Sonic and DJ Big Whiz will be sharing the stage with Aesop and Busdriver will be opening the evening as well, so why not go and experience some of the realist hip-hop out there today? Doors open at 7pm, it's an all ages show and tickets at the door will be $20. 2/13 - Passion Pit @ State Theatre 609 Congress Street Portland, ME Cambridge, MA synth-electro phenoms Passion Pit will be playing the second night of their back to back performances at The State Theatre in Portland, ME on Wednesday. Opening the show will be Matt & Kim and Icona Pop for what should be an extremely rhythmic concert. Show starts at 8pm, it's all ages and tickets at the door are $35. 2/14 - Boo City @ The Parlour 1119 North Main Street Providence, RI Celebrate Valentine's Day the right way with the black country soul rocksteady sounds of Boo City at The Parlour on Thursday. The Silks will be opening the show to kick it off with some genuine blues and it should be a very, very, very sexy time indeed. Music starts at 9pm, its 21+ and tickets are $8 if you arrive solo and $15 per couple. 2/15 - Torn Shorts @ Dusk 301 Harris Avenue Providence, RI Torn Shorts will be unveiling their second album Through The Mill at Dusk in Providence on Friday for a night chock full of good ol' fashioned rock & roll. Route .44 and Morris & The East Coast will be opening the night that's sure be something special. Show starts at 9pm, it's 21+ and tickets are $5 and $10 if you want to get a copy of the album and a sticker. 2/16 - Jaimoe's Jasssz Band @ Fete 103 Dike Street Providence, RI A founding member of The Allman Brothers Band, Jai "Jaimoe" Johanny Johnson and his jazz-rock band will be gracing The Fete Ballroom with their presence on Saturday for what should be a night full of grooves and people busting moves. Providence blues-rockers Shotgun will be opening up the show and it should be an awesome way to highlight your weekend. Show starts at 8:30, it's 21+ and tickets are $20. Along with the awesome music and comedy, it's also free. 2/5 - Lindsey Stirling @ Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel 79 Washington Street Providence, RI An exquisitely talented violinist who performs a variety of music styles ranging from classical to pop to hip-hop, the lovely Lindsey Stirling will be performing at the legendary Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in the downcity section of Providence on Tuesday. Originally the show was going to be at The Met in Pawtucket but because of the insanely high demand for tickets it has been moved to the much bigger Lupo's. The show starts 9pm, it's all ages and tickets are $17 in advance and $20 at the door. 2/6 - Magic Magic @ T.T. The Bear's Place 10 Brookline Street Cambridge, MA Boston indie stoner dream alt-rock band Magic Magic will be performing at T.T. The Bear's in Cambridge, MA on Wednesday. Spanish Prisoners, EARLYNINETIES and Sun Sister will be opening as well. Show starts at 9pm, it's 18+ and tickets are only $8. 2/7 - SEXCoffee @ Firehouse 13 41 Central Street Providence, RI Providence rock band SEXCoffee will be giving everyone a much needed buzz on Thursday at Firehouse 13 in the southwest end of The Creative Capital. Rounding out the All-Providence lineup will be two amazing acts who are no strangers to a 990WBOB broadcast, The Nymphidels and Fall & Bounce. With this plethora of talent invading a cool little venue like Firehouse 13, why wouldn't you want to check out an awesome show that is surely to blow your mind? This time that is definitely the best way to celebrate your Thirsty Thursday will be starting at 9pm, it's 21+ and tickets are a thrifty $5. 2/8 - The Fabulous Itchies @ Local 121 121 Washington Street Providence, RI Providence garage rock legends The Fabulous Itchies will be tearing it up at the The Speakeasy located downstairs at Local 121 on Friday that will absolutely be the most anticipated and best show going on in The Creative Capital this week. Post-everything rock & rollers Ravi Shavi and punk rock duo Party Pigs will be on the bill as well. This shindig starts at 10:30, it's 21+ and the cover is TBA, come down for genuine rock & roll that's the best way to kick off your weekend. 2/9 - Kingsley Flood @ Brighton Music Hall 158 Brighton Avenue Allston, MA Boston folk-rockers Kingsley Flood will be releasing their new album Battles at Brighton Music Hall in Allston, MA this Saturday for what should be a very enjoyable experience. Velah and Air Traffic Controller will be opening the show too. Show starts at 8pm, it's 18+ and tickets are $13 to see a spectacular show featuring one of the best bands in Beantown right now.
