Forward by: Dan Martin Hey guys its OCTOBER and that means its Halloween all month! At least to us here on Comic's Corner it is. We are big low budget fans here at our core staff but realize not many people have seen some of the crap we are willing to subject ourselves to. So in the spirit of the holidays, I asked fellow Comedian David Erik Finn to do some research into the comedic factor of Horror movies and give his opinions on it. David was brave, not being a fan of the genre he wasn't afraid to expose himself... to the films, sickos! I will be dropping in links and pictures to titillate the horror fan and educate the willing. Enjoy the crap! Let's make some art! Check out what happens below when an average film goer is subjected to the underground. No Oscars, no awards, just hard work and dedicated film making. The Pal - Pal@990WBOB.com The fourth season of everyone's favorite post apocalyptic drama series returned last week to record numbers. Viewed in more than 16 million homes the Dead did not disappoint. The opener carefully and rather quickly answered most questions left from the previous season's closing episode. Time had progressed as did the living situation. Rick & the gang had created there own community. Working together and efficiently with the Woodbury cast offs. However the world was not all peace and harmony. By Alicia: The Sexual Intellectual
By Rob Duguay Rarely do you get to experience the genuine pleasure of seeing a band live even before they release their debut album, but with Brooklyn indie-pop act Lucius I can safely say that I have. I got to see them a The Solid Sound Festival at The Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, MA this past June and The Boston Calling Music Festival right in the heart of Beantown in City Hall Plaza last month. Both times they were spellbounding and I've been a huge fan ever since.. Making waves around the United States after blazing through the festival circuit this past Summer, Lucius have released their highly anticipated debut album Wildewoman and it's simply a pleasure to listen to. I'm very picky when it comes to music stemming from the pop realm, and most of the time I try to avoid it like it's the plague. Lucius' Wildewoman is more than your usual indie-pop album with a stripped down sound and a wonderful melding of Jess Wolfe's and Holly Laessig's voice to create a beacon of musical brilliance.
Hey all! Welcome back to another edition of Comedy On Us. Volume 7. October is off and running! I was part of a local film shoot the first week of this month and tonight the Director, Christopher Ferreira, joins me on the phone from the glorious road. (More on that below.) Halloween is upon us and we have some cool Horror themed surprises on the show. We have lots to cover. Let's get to it.
By Joe Ferro After almost a decade of waiting one of my favorite bands is set to release new material. You could imagine my excitement, however when I say "new material" I mean one song... wait what? You read that right. Ten years and all we get is one song and a greatest hits album. The 13 track (or 19 if you get the deluxe version) named "Three Sixty" will be released on November 19th. Of course the new tune "By and Down" will be included on this compilation. As far as the new tune, not a bad tune, I guess I expected a little more from these guys but maybe Maynard is just saving up for the new Tool album but I guess we'll see. Check out this week's "The Franchise" Tuesday at 8PM, where I'll spin "By and Down" and you can judge it's merit for yourself.
By Chad Hoyle (@chadillacgrilz) As an unabashed fan of Justin Timberlake, the news of a new album last spring piqued my excitement. It was to be his first full length album since 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds, and in hindsight, it should have been obvious that the announcement was merely the steam whistle of his hype train pulling into station. The 20/20 Experience dropped last spring to immediate commercial and critical success, although as the summer of 2013 progressed, JT’s ubiquity in the public spotlight reached the point of over saturation.

By Rob Duguay One of the most unenvious tasks for any band is to live up to expectations after putting out a supreme masterpiece of a debut record. Back in 2006, The Fratellis from Glasgow, Scotland took the world by storm with their first album Costello Music. It was an album that was a perfect blend of British Invasion era rock & roll and vintage punk, it became quite the rage on both sides of the Atlantic and in my opinion will forever go down as one of the top ten best records of the past decade. After an solid follow up with Here We Stand in 2008 and a subsequent break up a year later, The Fratellis are back with their third album We Need Medicine. The jury might still be out on if it's as good as their excellent debut, but this album shows that this energetic trio hasn't let up a bit when it comes to making you jump out of your seat and causing a ruckus.
