The Great Pumpkin Walk will be installed behind Cutie Curls, a shop in the Mill Pond complex on Main Road in Tiverton, just south of Tiverton Four Corners, on Saturday, October 25. The hundreds of carved pumpkins that will line the grounds will be part of the Pumpkin Walk all day. The more dramatic presentation will occur when the pumpkins are lit, from 6-8 PM. Media coverage is invited! Great Pumpkin Walk organizer, Little Compton resident and proprietor of Cutie Curls, India Kenyon, said, “This will be a wonderful and fun Halloween event for families, and kids of all ages, right here in the South Coast region.” Cutie Curls, a children’s consignment and gift boutique, will have treats on hand for trick or treaters all day long on Saturday, October 25. Cutie Curls will also remain open from 6-8 PM for trick or treating. Kenyon said that anyone wishing to have a pumpkin, or more than one, on display should bring it to Cutie Curls, 3952 Main Road, Tiverton, during the day on Friday, October 24. Anyone wishing to carve a pumpkin for display can do so, from 10 AM to 5 PM from October 22 through the 24th. Little Compton Boy Scouts and the Youth Group of the Congregational Church in Little Compton, will participate in carving pumpkins. During the Pumpkin Walk itself, on October 25 from 6-8 PM, the 8th grade class of Wilbur-McMahon School in Little Compton will hold a bake sale for their class. |
