COMIC's corner's 2 comic minimum

On the last Sabbath of January 2014, Comic's Corner returned to Multiverse Comics on Broadway in Providence, RI with our monthly showcase, "2 Comic Minimum." This show was a long time coming, since the shop owner and I had been talking about doing a Comedy Show for the grand opening of the shop in October, 2013. We did the opening in October and a showcase in November. Both went very well, yet we were unsure  whether or not we would be back in the next year or not. Now we are one 2014 show under the belt and going into February with a a bang.

The show will now be the last Sunday of every month and we are booked solid until June! The response from comedians has been tremendous and we have no shortage of guests and drop ins. It's an exciting show to be a part of and a steal at FREE. The name of the show, "2 Comic Minimum" is a friendly suggestion as buying merch keeps the store going and keeps us in the room. It is also a take on the old club standard policy of 2 drink minimums. Guests can feel free to browse before and after the show, there are lots of deals and cool stuff to buy. 

The Comics on the show are donating their time as well. Some of us are working on new material, testing sets or catching extra stage time on the road and or before another gig. Comedian's like RA Bartlett sometimes do sets you will never see again. Like a breakdown of certain Comic Franchise's characters sex lives and analyzing packs of odd trading cards. After each show the comedians sign the stage for a unique experience. Each month a different Comic's Corner personality will host.

It's always a fun Sunday showcase of some of the best comics working under the radar today. Show starts at Seven which leaves time for comics to get to other shows and the audience can hang after as some of us grab drinks in the area. Broadway in Providence is a great place to hang out.
