Halloween can be an expensive holiday. After you've picked your pumpkin, taken your hayride, mastered the corn maze, purchased an appropriate assortment of candy, and and an inappropriate cache of booze, there is little money left for the event's magnum opus -- a perfect costume. 

So, if you're a resourceful and have a little creativity, you can make a clever, sexy, and fun costume with your own two hands. Builder beware, though, because just as many DIY Halloween costume projects turn out terrible as they do great.
