Evan Mckay So they finally unleashed the beast of a schedule that is PAX 2014 and man am I psyched!!! This convention is going to be incredible! Sadly I am only attending on Saturday this year which means I am going to have to pack that day with more goodies then a type IV bag of holding! Some of these panels have my nerd loins primed and ready to go! Below I will drool over some of the panels that have me the most excited so far! First of all I would like to say that there is a My Little Pony Collectible Card Game, which is something I did not already know because I am no brony, but Crystal enjoys friendship is magic so I am a little excited to see what that game looks like. I cannot wait to see some of the "pros" (I guess) of the My Little Pony card game. There is a "Why its awesome to be a woman in gaming!" panel that looks pretty cool. I have read a piece about the horrors of being a lady gamer and I really see these bad-ass ladies turn that article on its head and listen to their stories about how they penetrated a male-dominated industry. Gamers of all kinds rule! Gender should not decide whether you game or not! The 2nd thing that caught my eye is "The future of MMOs" panel. I really love MMOs but the current paradigm of "tank, heal, DPS" bores the ever-loving fudge out of me. I am very interested in seeing what these industry leaders have to say about this, a week after the beast of Elder Scrolls Online comes out! Needless to say the "40th Anniversary of Dungeons and Dragons" panel looks pretty amazing as well! They are going to show old and amazing art, give a brief history of the game, and most importantly, explain why it's still significant! I hope this panel does not degenerate into an ad for DnD Next, but I will remain cautious. There are many, many more panels and exciting tournaments to get excited about all over again! This year is going to be a behemoth of a con! I can't wait till April 12 and to give you all a full report of the mania that will be Saturday at PAX EAST 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
