Check out what's going on below: 5/13 - 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast @ The Spot 101 Richmond Street Providence, RI This week's edition of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast at The Spot in Providence has Dan & The Wildfire, Alderwick, Andrew Spatz and Sgt. Baker & The Clones rocking the stage. With comedy being hosted by funnyman Doug Key, a great atmosphere, wide selection of drinks, tasty food and cool pieces of art on the walls, Mondays On Blast is the perfect way to kick off your week. It's all ages and it's free so come on down!!! 5/14 - April's Fury @ AS220 115 Empire Street Providence, RI 990WBOB's Battle Of The Bands semifinalists April's Fury will be performing their last show ever at AS220 with Hollow Turtle and Driftwood opening up the show. Show starts around 10pm, it's all ages and tickets are $6. 5/15 - Frank Black @ Spaceland Ballroom 295 Treadwell Street Hamden, CT A New England alternative rock legend best known as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for The Pixies out of Boston, Frank Black will be performing solo at The Spaceland Ballroom in Hamden, CT on Wednesday and anyone who is in The Nutmeg State should absolutely be at the show. The fun starts at 9pm, it's 21+ and tickets are $20 to see a music legend up close and personal. 5/16 - The Hush Sound @ Royale 279 Tremont Street Boston, MA Chicago pop-rockers The Hush Sound will be performing at The Royale in Boston on Thursday with Hockey, River City Extension, Genevieve Schatz from Company of Thieves and Lucas Carpenter for what should be a stacked bill of indie music talent that is sure to blow you away. Doors are at 6:30, the extravaganza is all ages and tickets are $20 to see five amazing acts share one stage. 5/17 - Kurt Vile @ The Sinclair 52 Church Street Cambridge, MA Singer-songwriter Kurt Vile and his backing band The Violators will be performing at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA right outside of Boston on Friday for what should be a pretty cool time. Fellow singer-songwriters Angel Olsen and Steve Gunn will be opening up the show, making a nice bill that's a must see. Show starts at 9pm, it's 18+ and tickets are $16 in advance and $18 at the door. 5/18 - Carnival Barker's Ball @ The Roots Cultural Center 276 Westminster Street Providence, RI Stella Knows Blues, Indiana Handshake, and Gill Moss perform for an all-out romping, stomping showcase of swing, americana and blues-rock on two stages. Special guest local singer-songwriter Maiden of Madness. Circus and traveling carnival costumes are encouraged to be worn by the public as well as a tattoo contest being held. This extravaganza starts at 8pm,it's all ages and tickets are $5 for a once in a lifetime experience.
