Profiling the best shows going on in New England this week and keeping you updated on what's going on at your favorite music venues. 7/22 - 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast @ The Spot 101 Richmond Street Providence, RI This week's edition of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast at The Spot in Providence promises to be a good one with Kristi Martel, The Lost Arts, Fried Miracle and Cosmic Factory rocking the stage. With comedy being hosted by funnyman Doug Key, a great atmosphere, wide selection of drinks, tasty food and cool pieces of art on the walls, Mondays On Blast is the perfect way to kick off your week. Along with the awesome music and comedy, it's also free. 7/23 - P.O.D. @ House Of Blues 15 Lansdowne Street Boston, MA Nu Metal superstars P.O.D will be headlining a show at The House Of Blues in Boston on Tuesday with Flyleaf opening the show. Show starts at 7pm, it's all ages and tickets are $22.50. 7/24 - Kid Mountain @ The Met 1005 Main Street Pawtucket, RI Attleboro folk-rockers Kid Mountain will be headlining a show at The Met on Wednesday with Providence dream-pop act Littlefoot and a super special guest slated to be on the bill. Kid Mountain has been tearing up the music scene all over New England lately so make sure you catch the show. Show starts at 9pm, its all ages but 21+ to drink and tickets are only $8. 7/25 - Revival! @ Newport Blues Cafe 286 Thames Street Newport, RI Christopher Paul Stelling, Joe Fletcher & The Wrong Reasons, The Low Anthem and Roz Raskin & The Rice Cakes will be kicking off The Newport Folk Festival in immense style at The Newport Blues Cafe on Thursday. Doors are at 8pm, it's 21+ and tickets are $20. 7/26 - 28 - Newport Folk Festival Fort Adams Harrison Ave, Newport RI One of the most highly anticipated festivals of the summer, The 2013 Newport Folk Festival with Deer Tick's John McCauley, My Morning Jacket's Jim James, The Decemberists' Colin Meloy, Old Crow Medicine Show and Feist playing just to name a few. Unfortunately it's all sold out except for the Friday date and tickets are $49.
