It's another Sunday which means that it's time to give you the scoop on the best shows to see this week in New England. Check out what's going on in this week's Sunday Post: 1/14 - 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast @ The Spot 101 Richmond Street Providence, RI This Monday at The Spot on 101 Richmond Street in Providence 990WBOB has a lineup you just can't miss. 13 Folds Magazine will be celebrating their launch along with special guest Billy Moretti from The Denver Boot kicking it off with a solo acoustic performance, Collington rocking it with a full band to bring some rhythmic folk to the mix, April's Fury adding the touch of beauty to the night with their infectious indie-folk-pop and Shotgun capping off the evening with their brand of fantastic blues. Doug Key as always will be hosting the comedy portion of the show and it's always free admission every Monday to kick off your week right. 1/15 - Old Abram Brown @ T.T. The Bear's Place 10 Brookline Street Cambridge, MA Boston indie-folk band Old Abram Brown will be playing at the legendary T.T. The Bear's in Cambridge, MA on Tuesday for a show you just can't miss. The Sea Life and Wilder Maker will be opening the show on the trademark intimate stage as well so get there early. Show starts at 8:30 and tickets are $8. 1/16 - What Cheer? Brigade @ AS220 115 Empire Street Providence, RI Providence brass giants The What Cheer? Brigade will be blowing minds left and right in the performance space at AS220 in the downtown area of The Creative Capital for a show that will be unlike anything you've ever experienced. Prepare to bring your dancing shoes and boogie all night long to one of the most infectious bands out there today. Show starts at 8:30 and tickets are $6. 1/17 - G. Love & Special Sauce @ Paradise Rock Club 967 Commonwealth Avenue Boston, MA Bringing their unique blend of hip-hop blues to The Paradise Rock Club on Thursday, Philadelphia's G. Love & Special Sauce will bring the grooves that will make you move. Swear and Shake will be opening up the show and you better go, show starts at 8pm and advance tickets are $25 to check out what probably will be the best show in Beantown this week. 1/18 - Castle @ The News Cafe 43 Broad Street Pawtucket, RI Newport's Castle will be playing at The News Cafe in Pawtucket on Friday headlining a great bill featuring Providence punks Ask The Dead and Olneyville indie art rockers Pixels. A trio of awesome bands that are definitely some of the best kept secrets in Rhode Island, show starts at 8pm and admission is $5. 1/19 - Mission Of Burma @ The Sinclair 52 Church Street Cambridge, MA One of the most influential indie bands in the past 30 years and Boston natives Mission Of Burma will be performing at one of the hippest new music venues in the Boston metro area at The Sinclair. It's always a treat to see these guys play and it'll be a great way to end the week with some old-school alternative rock. Show starts at 8 PM and tickets are $22.
