Check out what's going on below: 1/21 - 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast @ The Spot 101 Richmond Street Providence, RI This week's edition of Mondays On Blast at The Spot in Providence is guaranteed to rock with Al Diaz's new musical project Alma Mala, folk-blues jam band Brother Moon, Framingham, MA hi-octane hard rock/heavy metalheads Tester and rock & roll fiends Pistol Shot Gypsy taking the stage by storm. It's the best Monday night in New England hosted by none other than 990WBOB, come on down for the festivities or log on to 990WBOB's Live page at 9pm for the live broadcast. Also, it's free so why not kick your week off right? 1/22 - Citizen Cope @ Toad's Place 300 York Street New Haven, CT Groovy and bluesy folk-hop musician Citizen Cope will be hitting up yours truly's old stompin' grounds at Toad's Place on Tuesday. If like jam, blues, folk and hip-hop then the amazing originality that Citizen Cope possesses will have you hooked like a fish snagging a piece of bait. Everyone in the New Haven area should hit this show up at the most legendary venue in The Nutmeg State. Doors open at 8pm, show starts around 9 and tickets are $25 at the door, I highly suggest checking Citizen Cope out if you're in the area. 1/23 - Hot Water Music @ The Met 1005 Main Street Pawtucket, RI Ocean State punk rockers unite!!! One of the best punk bands out there today in Hot Water Music will be gracing the stage at The Met in Pawtucket on Wednesday. The dueling guitars and vocals of Chuck Ragan and Chris Wollard will electrify you and promise to be one hell of a show. Show starts at 8:30 and tickets are $20 advance and $22 at the door. 1/24 - Walk The Moon @ The Paradise Rock Club 967 Commonwealth Avenue Boston, MA L.A. indie-pop dance kings Walk The Moon will be playing at the world-famous Paradise Rock Club in Boston on Thursday. You might know them from their hit song "Anna Sun" that blasted through everybody's speakers and they're bound to perform that very song on stage that night, so why not go and see what else they've got? Show starts at 8pm and tickets are $17. 1/25 - The Sugar Honey Iced Tea @ AS220 115 Empire Street Providence, RI Indie-folk group The Sugar Honey Iced Tea will be playing at the AS220 Performance Space in Providence with Bored With Four, Rich Ferri & The Wealth On The Water and Art Decade for what should be a purely amazing show. Show starts at 9pm and tickets are only $6 to see a spectacular array of indie and folk music that will be a treasure to listen to. 1/26 - Ravi Shavi @ Firehouse 13 41 Central Street Providence, RI Providence post-everything revolution rockers Ravi Shavi will be celebrating the release of their debut self-titled album and they'll be sharing the stage with fellow Providence bands The Rice Cakes and Atlantic Thrills along with Brooklyn's Napoleon. It's going to be a righteous time, show starts at 8 PM and tickets are $5 but if you pay $10 you get a copy of Ravi Shavi's album along with your ticket which is one hell of a deal.
