Fall Television Premiers...* *If they haven't happened yet, I will include the date. And if they already Aired, I will include Spoiler Alerts. :) 5. Gotham: Season 1 - (possible spoilers) Batman fans Rejoice, here is another crack at the origin story of Batman, through the eyes of Jim Gordon? Confused? Great. We all know DC runs the TV game and the only way for them to have a quarter if the film empire that Marvel has, they need to tie up their universe. Will this show finally overlap with Arrow and Flash, the way they already did? We know Smallville is out of this universe, even though it was the longest running comic based TV show and would have worked well. The premier episode was hardly about Batman or the Waynes so much as it is about the other staple Batman Characters perception of events and involvement in the Night that shook Gotham. Some if it was just laughable though if you let your perceptions go, it could be fun. Airs Mondays 9pm on FOX. Hulu Plus has the new eps the next day. 4. South Park: Season 18 - The greatest satirical cartoon on television returns for another ten episode season with no breaks. I have enjoyed the new format even though we get two less episodes a season and a nearing the end of a legendary run. This isn't the final season, though it is upon us, soon. The latest previews show us Cartman going head to head with the Washington Red Skins owner about how him adapting their name for his new business is offensive to their people, the football team. Oh it will be scathing and hilarious I am sure. Airs Wednesdays, 10pm Comedy Central, premiers 9/24, episodes on Hulu plus and or South Park studios.com next day 3. Agents Of Shield: Season 2 - Marvel, you sly dogs! I don't know much about this new season, I have avoided spoilers, though I must say season one left me wanting more! (Possible spoilers) Hydra has broken lose with the second Captain America and spilled right into the TV universe as well. The tie ins and crossovers are amazing and I look forward to a great sophomore season that should start with a bang. Airs Tuesdays 9pm ABC, premiers 9/23, new episodes on HUlU Plus next day 2. The Walking Dead: Season 5 - I must say, I am not a huge fan of this one. I feel as though the pacing has been off to my perception of the written story. That said, I watch this one for the gore. Greg Nicotero and his team are amazing. I am not worried about the characters though and I don't seen to care about any of them. I find most things that do match the book are better in my imagination than realized. A negative review I know but effects and popularity make this number two. Premiers 10/8 on AMC 1. Sons Of Anarchy: Season 7 - This show has been by far my favorite show on TV since I began watching it. It has never seemed convenient or contrived. Rooted in Shakespearean drama, specifically, Hamlet, this show always delivers on the classic tragic tropes with a terrific modern spin. No spoilers, just great TV. We will talk more about this on our live episode. 9/24 we are three episodes in so get caught up and enjoy folks! Airs Tuesdays, 10pm FX, episodes and season pass available on Amazon More WBOB Reads |
