Freddy Choyle It's Memorial Day weekend, a time to reflect and appreciate those who gave their life and limbs for our freedoms. While you're busy flipping that burger and sipping that cold glass of sangria, try to take a moment and remember the brave men and women of our armed forces. If you are looking for some cinematic remembrance of graphic battle carnage, well you are in luck. Compiled this week is my top five war movies of all time. Enjoy. #1 We Were Soldiers - Say what you want about Mel Gibson, however in this movie he is the man! A thriller from beginning to end, well written and directed, this movie makes the biggest tough guy's eyes water. The action will make your pulse race, and even the slower more dramatic back home scenes carry the proper amount of emotion. A must see movie indeed. |
