We all make mistakes. But rarely are those mistakes scene by our friends, neighbors, the entire country, the entire world -- or the entire Universe!

Steve Harvey took a gasp of that rare air on Sunday night as host of the Miss Universe 2015 pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada. After crowning Ariadna Gutiérrez of Colombia as the 64th Miss Universe, and amid falling confetti and tears of joy, Harvey made his way back to the stage. 

"I have to apologize," he said. 

What followed is likely the most cringe-worthy 90 seconds in television history. While it was clearly a simple mistake, the awkwardness of the whole ordeal is remarkable.
