Monday once again is shortly approaching which means its another fantastic night of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast!!! Featuring the absolute best in live New England music along with hilarious comedy hosted by Doug Key, start your week off right at The Spot on 101 Richmond Street or log on to 990WBOB.COM to listen in to the live broadcast starting at 9pm. This Monday New England based poet Jeffrey Noble and his alter ego der Hagopian will be putting together the show with some of the most eclectic musicians in the area. It's a no-brainer that The Spot is the place to be every Monday to get your weekly dose of entertainment. Check out who we have playing this week: Valerie Poirier: Wonderful singer-songwriter Valerie Poirier will be gracing The Spot with her presence on Monday. Playing open mics all over Providence and beyond, her talents on guitar and unique voice will definitely be a treat to see. You can check out a video from her series called Stripped of her performing "Naked" on a train-track adorned bridge right here. Birdlady: The musical project of Tapestries' and The Universes' Jeremy Joubert, Birdlady encompasses pop, lo-fi styles, the abrasiveness of garage rock and punk and simple songs that stick in your head. He collaborates with all different types of musicians so it should be interesting who he performs on stage with this Monday. You can check out all of Birdlady's music on their Bandcamp page right here for a sneak peek of what to expect. Egg Brains: One of the weirdest bands you ever hear and see, Egg Brains featuring Ethan Kerrigan on guitar and vocals and Kevin Aubin on drums have an avant garde garage rock style that will definitely wow you as they push the limits of what is deemed conventional. It's different but you'll definitely enjoy it on Monday, Egg Brains are a fairly new band so they don't have any websites, Bandcamp or Facebook pages so head on down and see them for yourself. Littlefoot: With Erica Sutherland and The Rice Cakes' Roz Raskin, Littlefoot is a cool band showcasing the incredible songwriting abilities of two amazingly talented musicians. It should be a special experience for all who is in attendance, especially when you have a local celebrity like Roz playing in her sideproject that's only a few months old. For more info on Littlefoot, check out their Facebook page right here. As with every Monday at The Spot with 990WBOB, a great time is always guaranteed. Check out 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast page or the Mondays On Blast Facebook event page for more information on what bands will be playing in the future at the ultimate destination to kick the week off right.
