Monday once again is shortly approaching which means its another fantastic night of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast!!! Featuring the absolute best in live New England music along with hilarious comedy hosted by Doug Key, start your week off right at The Spot on 101 Richmond Street or log on to 990WBOB.COM to listen in to the live broadcast starting at 9pm. With a wide variety of beers & mixed drinks, tasty food and excellent vibes, it's a no-brainer that The Spot is the place to be every Monday to get your weekly dose of entertainment. Check out who we have playing this week: Andrew Spatz: An enigmatic singer-songwriter who guarantees to be unlike anything you've ever heard or seen before, Andrew Spatz will be performing at Mondays On Blast this week. Infectious energy and brilliant songwriting skills makes Spatz a treasure to watch on stage, and all it is is him with an acoustic guitar. Only by himself, he has as much power and brilliance as a full band while at the same time entertaining you with the antics only Spatz himself can act out. You'll be asking yourself, is this real or is it just an act? Regardless, Andrew Spatz' awesome songs are as genuine as they come and definitely something you'll enjoy. Andrew has his debut album Kuh Thee Druhl currently available and you can listen to it right here. The Can't Nots: 990WBOB approved, groovy and highly amplified rock & rollers The Can't Nots will be blowing the roof off the The Spot on Monday. Gary Wilkinson's rhythmic drumming, Bobby Brierly's snarling guitar and Naomi Lee's amazingly soulful voice will captivate you and blow your mind. No pun intended, but these guys are one band that you just can't not miss. The Can't Nots are currently working on putting out their debut album but they do have an EP available titled Applesauce and you can name your price and download it from their website right here. Torn Shorts: If you like Tom Petty, Bob Dylan and straight up good old-fashioned rock & roll then Torn Shorts will definitely be what you're looking for when they play this Monday. Brendan Tompkins on drums, Zach Zarcone on bass, Nick Molak on lead guitar and songwriter and lyricist Josh Grabert on vocals and rhythm guitar combine to produce awesome music that hits straight to the soul. On February 15th, Torn Shorts will be releasing their second album Through The Mill at Dusk in Providence and you can give it an advanced listen right here. The Skinny Millionaires: Fronted by 990WBOB personality and the host of Easy Tiger Mikey Millionaire, Newport Folk-punk rockers The Skinny Millionaires will be capping off what should be a fun filled night. Be sure to hear something Mike will say that will craw under your skin but at the same time you'll be basking in musical brilliance. For more information on this raucous bunch you can check out The Skinny Millionaires' Facebook page right here. As with every Monday at The Spot with 990WBOB, a great time is always guaranteed.
