Monday once again is shortly approaching which means its another fantastic night of 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast!!! Featuring the absolute best in live New England music along with hilarious comedy hosted by Doug Key, start your week off right at The Spot on 101 Richmond Street or log on to 990WBOB.COM to listen in to the live broadcast starting at 9pm. With a wide variety of beers & mixed drinks, tasty food and excellent vibes, it's a no-brainer that The Spot is the place to be every Monday to get your weekly dose of entertainment. Check out who we have playing this week: Sister Mary: Sister Mary could best be described as a love child between Neil Young and Dolly Parton. She is heartfelt, optimistic, dark, warm, and biting all at the same time. Her fans are people of all ages, regions, and backgrounds. She plays alongside rockers and rollers, rappers, punks, old time folk players, and more. She has shared her music through DIY touring across much of the United States, and plans to eventually play in every state in the union. She'll be soothing hearts and minds at The Spot on Monday, check out her Bandcamp page right here to get a sneak peek of her musical brilliance. Haunt The House: Westerly's Will Houlihan and his folk escapade known as Haunt The House will be performing at Mondays On Blast tonight for what should be a special storytelling treat. With songs about love being had, love being lost, sorrowful death and blood-sucking vampires, Haunt The House lives up to it's name with Will's chilling tales. He's been starting a buzz lately by playing a bunch around the Providence area as well as playing three benefits for the recent leukemia stricken Dave Lamb from Brown Bird and you'll have your chance to see what all the fuss is about at The Spot on Monday. You can check out Haunt The House's debut record Rural Introspection Study Group on Bandcamp for a sneak peak. Highway's End: Hard-driving acoustic rock, bluegrass and folk from Rhode Island and southern Massachusetts, Highway's End are fairly new to the music scene and should definitely catch your eye in a place where being a folk act is as normal as tying your shoes in the morning. For more info, check out Highway's End on Facebook to see what they're all about. The Skinny Millionaires: Fronted by 990WBOB personality and the host of Easy Tiger Mikey Millionaire, Newport Folk-punk rockers The Skinny Millionaires will be part of what should be a fun filled night. Be sure to hear something Mike will say that will craw under your skin but at the same time you'll be basking in musical brilliance. For more information on this raucous bunch you can check out The Skinny Millionaires' Facebook page right here. Kris Hansen: You probably know him as the host of VJ Live on 990WBOB and also by his highly delectable cookies, but Kris Hansen is also one hell of a musician and he'll be a special guest at The Spot tonight. You better go because it's going to be one hell of a time. As with every Monday at The Spot with 990WBOB, a great time is always guaranteed. Check out 990WBOB's Mondays On Blast page or the Mondays On Blast Facebook event page for more information on what bands will be playing in the future at the ultimate destination to kick the week off right.
