The band has been developing rapidly ever since, growing their set-up and sound from earthy acoustic driven rock, into indie synth rock. They have been playing often in various venues around the Providence and Boston scenes for the past year. Cory Waldron & The New New Band: A rock band from Providence, RI comprised of four bearded dudes who play funky and soulful R&B music, Cory Waldron & The New New Band are bound to light the stage on fire at The Spot tonight. With influences like Marvin Gaye, James Brown and Luther Vandross, there's no wonder to how Cory and his band can get you into the groove. Tapestries: Tapestries is an indie assortment of sound and locality, as well as the moniker for Mike DeCosta of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Writing and performing for several years with a wide instrumental repertoire, his musical project is one of the most burgeoning acts in the Providence music scene today. Heartfelt lyrics that are extremely genuine and hit straight to the soul along with emphatic sounds that will astound you, check out Tapestries' brand new self-titled album here.
