Where To Be...In Providence - Week of 3/12/12

3/11/2012

Here's the overview of the upcoming week and events around Providence. Another great one for sure, with a small trip out of the city. If you know of an awesome show down the line, let me know and I may showcase it. I take bribes.

Monday 3/12
– Start things off right at The Apartment. 990WBOB hosts an evening of music and comedy in an intimate environment with a variety of drink specials. Musical guests this week Glowkid, Watch Your Head, and Austin Hevey & The Hevies. If your hungry, the kitchen is officially open and serving a full menu.
No Cover. 373 Richmond St.

Tuesday 3/13 – Bar Louie's recently opened in Union Station complex and on Tuesdays you can enjoy awesome $1 burgers. A perfect way to commence the evening, and then Peacewise and Too Square are performing at The Met.
$8 Cover. 1005 Main St, Pawtucket

Wednesday 3/14 – Dare I say return to The Met? You honestly can'y go wrong with performances from The Mighty Good Boys, Northern Lands, and 6A Valley. High energy and good people, this is pretty much a must see.
$8 Cover. 1005 Main St, Pawtucket

Fall & Bounce
Thursday 3/15 – It happens to be relatively quiet in Providence this evening, but plenty of music can be heard in Cranston. Tony Jones & The Cretin 3, Fall & Bounce and Necrophiliac Meat Circus are rockin' at Mardi Gras. Ask the infamous Tony Jones, and he may put you on the “special guest” list to avoid the cover.
No Cover w/Cretin Hookup. 1500 Oaklawn Ave, Crantson.

Friday 3/16 - When there's a couple options for the evening, I say do it all!
Start early at Lupos, The Machine, a stellar Pink Floyd tribute band will be performing. $20 Cover. Then head over to The Spot Underground for funky jams from Viral Sound and Off The Rez. Ahh Fridays.
 $10 Cover. 15 Elbow St.

Saturday 3/17
– Everybody see Torch? At least everyone at The Met will. Not sure who lined up this awesome set but Moga, The Famous Winters, Ravi Shavi, Revernd Bastien are all performing! $8 Cover. 1005 Main St, Pawtucket

Okay if you only go to one show on Friday, this week will cost only $35 in cover charges.
I added in the Bar Louie burger so you don't go hungry.
