Wild Side #344 2/20/18 - How safe are our schools in Rhode Island? Warwick school board candidate Chadd Huddon joins Tyler and Bob to discuss school security right in your backyard, and to discuss his campaign. Also welcomed this week are Scott Rotondo from the Rotunda, and Truckin White Boy Johnny K to discuss the latest drama in the Middle East, the potential name change of TF Green Airport, and to remember the Station Fire fifteen years later.
The Rotunda #140 2/19/18- In what has to be one of the funniest episodes of The Rotunda on record, Scott is joined by WBOB founder Pal for his first segment, and the results are nothing short of awesome. Scott waxes nostalgic about places he took old dates and what exactly has caused him to go from all-around nice guy to the grumpy curmudgeon we hear on some shows. Pal even sticks around as Scott lays out his issues with this week’s Social Justice Jerkoff of the week, and at the halfway point local actor and correspondent Chad Michael lights up the airwaves with his rather ingenious solution to the gun epidemic that America is facing. This is something that’s sure to upset the left and the right but when you hear it, sounds like the most common sense way to avoid the unspeakable tragedies of the sort that we witnessed in Florida.
The funny news segment even takes a turn – can it be that POTUS lands himself in the funny news segment for the first time ever? Listen in and see for yourself! Psycho Sports #253 #2/19/18 - Chris Hogan from the 27 Outs Baseball Radio Network joins Tyler Salk and Pal to break down the latest from the Red Sox, just hours after the announcement of JD Martinez signing with the team. What does everyone think of the signing? How will the Red Sox be this season? Should Sox GM Dave Dombrowski still have a job?
Find out what WBOB's experts think in this Spring Training edition of Psycho Sports. Wild Side #343 2/13/2018 - Filling in again for David Clyde, Tyler Salk and Bob Giusti talk again about a multitude of news topics including a Brown tuition price hike up to $70k; how North Korea and South Korea are seemingly getting along at the Olympics; North Korea's actions during the games (was that cheering audience really cheering for North Korea or is it all just another propaganda ploy?), and more.
Joining the show are a few special guests. Continuing with their RI Gubernatorial Candidate interviews, Bob and Tyler speak with Independent candidate Dr. Daniel-Luis Muñoz. What campaign is Dr. Muñoz running in the upcoming election? What inspired him to run for office? What does he plan to do for Rhode Islanders if elected? Tyler and Bob ask those questions and more. Then, duo speak with conservative YouTube star, Hunter Avallone. What is it like being a conservative media personality, especially in today's hyper-liberal environment? Who has inspired him politically? And of course, Truckin' White Boy, Johnny K, stops by to say hello. What has the Truckin' White Boy been up to since last time? Better click play and find out. The Rotunda #139 2/12/18 - Scott starts off this week's show by blasting a media report about the percentage of white males that write and direct Star Wars.
Scott begs the question, is this really where we are right now? Do we actually have to do a census on all our entertainment to determine some arbitrary ratio of ‘inclusiveness’? Something to ponder for SciFi fans and social activists alike. If that isn't enough to get your blood boiling, Scott also takes President Trump to task for his proposed military parade – who else even does a military parade anymore? Also, who does he expect to pay for this, and who’s even interested in watching it? Also in the show, Jonathan Cipriano called in to talk local politics and discuss his popular YouTube channel. Plus, RI Senatorial candidate, David Norton checks in point to update us on the primary for the vacant Senate 8 seat. What will he do if he wins? What are his plans to advocate from Smith Hill. Also – what if he loses, what will he do then? Tune in and find out! Psycho Sports 252 2/13/18 – Now that football is over, it’s time for the WBOB Sports crew to focus on winter sports, as the Winter Olympics oare well underway. Hosts Tyler Salk and Ryan Fox have a lively debate about what matters most: the medals.
Is it better to be top in the total medal count? Or is it better to have more total gold medals? Plus, how do Olympians train for certain events (i.e. luge, bobsled, speed skating) where it seems there are few opportunities? Also, the duo discuss the Boston Celtics' struggles in the last few games, including getting blown out this past Sunday by 22-points by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Are these struggles due to offensive stagnation? Or has fatigue following last month's trip to London played a role? Tyler and Ryan debate and discuss. Well Played #6 2/13/2018 - Mike and Pete are back at it again with another Well Played episode. The two breakdown the new trailer releases and game play footage of the upcoming game Kingdom Hearts 3. Which Disney movies are going to be in the game as new worlds? Does this game match up to its previous incarnation? And if you are not familiar with the series, the duo give a quick recap of the entire Kingdom Hearts series from the first game up to now and all that was in between.
And of course, the duo decides to inform you of which game you should not be playing. What game did they pick this time and is it really a game you should not be playing. You better click below and find out. Derelict Dummies #241 2/12/18 - DD hosts Kris Hansen and Bob Giusti this week break down Valentines Day and how much is spent on this “glorious” day. Should established couples celebrate V-Day? Why not just treat everyday with romantic fervor?
Plus the duo drift off into a few heavier topics including the realistic possibility of a World War III? Cobblestone Press #45 2/12/18 - This week on Cobblestone Press, host Kevin Aherne was joined by Providence community activist turned mayoral candidate, Kobi Dennis, to discuss his vision for the future of Providence's prosperity.
Is it time for new leadership in Rhode Island's capital city? Can Kobi build upon some of the success of previous administrations? Also, Aherne was joined by Scott Rotondo of The Rotunda to discuss the highly-contentious Senate race in District 8. Listen to the full episode below |
