Demand the Truth #39 6/26/2017 - Things are not so peachy with our neighbors up north. Joining Will Turbitt this week is Leigh Stewy, a Canadian journalist to talk about the Deep State in Canada. Will & Leigh discuss how things are just the same up north as they are in the states (people being lied to by mainstream media, leftists being violent towards those who disagree with them). But then Leigh dropped a bomb on how Canada has passed two bills (Bill C16 & Bill 89) that has got Will in a rage. What were the bills and how will they affect Canadian citizens going forward?
The Rotunda #112 6/26/17 - As we are all gearing up for the long weekend for the Fourth, Scott and Tyler take to the airwaves and share their thoughts on the Supreme Court ruling upholding Trump’s travel ban – for now. Good idea, or just fanning the flames of dissent? You be the judge, but not before hearing us out. Also covered is the latest GOP civil war on Smith Hill. Can the GOP caucus start rowing together, or is this a preview of another disappointing election season got the opposition party in 2018?

**DB Live contains strong subject matter. the views, opinions & thoughts expressed are solely those of the host not 990WBOB or it's staff" Psycho Sports #223 6/26/2017 - It's a special full hour episode this time around. Tyler and Ryan got their hands full recapping how the Boston Celtics did during the NBA Draft 2017 last Thursday. Did the Celtics really want SF Jayson Tatum out of Duke like they said they wanted or did they wanted Kansas Jayhawks guard Josh Jackson? Why did the Celtics even draft Tatum in the first place when they already have Jaylen Brown playing the same position (also drafted 3rd overall last year)? Also, the two break down everybody's favorite prospect: UCLA PG Lonzo Ball. Rather, is he getting too much negativity because of good ol' dad Lavar? Does Lavar's big mouth mask the fact that Lonzo was one of the nation's best passing PG in college?
Then in the second of the show, the two are joined by WRIU's and a past co-host to Psycho Sports, Josh Turano, to talk about the growing legend in Boston known as Chris Sale. Can he continue to pitch at such a high level where he could be the first pitching triple crown winner since Justin Verlander back in 2011? Or will he fall victim to a second half swoon that he's gone through in his career? Josh, Tyler, and Ryan discuss as well as preview the two upcoming opponents for the Boston Red Sox this week (Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays). The Rotunda #111 6/19/17 - Host Scott races back in fine form as he and Tyler get us all caught up on the GOP baseball game shooting, high notes from the latest RI state budget, and the most recent black eye for the highway toll plan – after all, if we can’t be sure all the costs have even factored in, how can anyone be sure that this is the right thing for Rhode Island to do? And what about the smoking ban in downtown Providence, which was passed after Mayor Elorza’s veto? Is this a shot across the bow to the Mayor?
We hear from Jess Mears of the Libertarian Party, talking about how they can build off the 2016 momentum and what will be in store for 2020!! Demand the Truth #38 6/19/2017 - Technology is both an enabler and a destroyer. It can help give information and it can also take away. In the latest episode, Will is joined by Mike Robertson of I Citizens News talks about how people nowadays have more access to obtaining information a well as there are more ways to get information out there (i.e Youtube, Livestream, Facebook, Twitter, etc). But on the downside, it opens up to the spread of fake news as well as how it's causing kids nowadays to not really interacting with each other, thus affecting their social skills and abilities (i.e. face-to-face communication).
Psycho Sports #222 6/19/17 - Boston Celtics GM Danny Ainge is at it again. Over the weekend, he traded the Celtics traded #1 overall pick to the Philadelphia 76ers for the #3 pick overall in the 2017 NBA Draft plus another future first round pick. What does this mean for the Celtics? Does it change their plans for the draft and the off season? Tyler & Ryan discuss.
Joining the show is Matt Monacelli of 90.1 FM WDCE to breakdown Patriots minicamp. How is newly acquired WR Brandon Cooks working with Tom Brady? Should fans pay close attention to the injuries to QB Jimmy Garrapolo & LB Dont'a Hightower? Can the newcomers (Cooks, TE Dwayne Allen, DE Kony Ealy) contribute to another Super Bowl run? Who in the NFL can beat the Patriots? Matt & Tyler discuss. The Rotonda #110 6/12/2017 - According to Tyler and Ryan, it seems that even in a growing, progressing world, that sometimes we as humans are our own worst enemies. Perfect example was that there was an accident in Amsterdam where a car crashed into a train station. Even though it wasn't a terrorist attack but when people first heard it, it sounded like a terrorist attack due to past incidents (see Manchester, London, Nice, OSU). and people (especially media) were reacting too fast before all the information has been gathered. Not to mention that there has been an uprising of left extremism that is plaguing college campuses and it's getting to the point where it could fall under domestic terrorism.
Joining the show are a couple of special guests. First is Mike Smith, GOP candidate for RI Senate District 13, to talk about the current economic state of small businesses in Rhode Island (especially in the town of Newport), and how Governor Gina Raimondo is more focused on helping bigger corporations as well astaking the tourist income generated by Newport and putting it into Providence instead. Then Youtuber Glink joins the show to talk about what is happening over at Evergreen State in Washington where liberal students extremists are forcing the campus to shut out white people to prove a point as well as forcing their own political ideologies while using means of imitations and terror (i.e. hunting down those who disagree with them with baseball bats). Glink and Tyler then discuss on how the left are literally going out of their way to decry everything racist and forcefully try to silence the opposition instead of having a calm, open debate. |
