The Rotunda #154 6/11/18 - Gubernatorial candidate Spencer Dickinson joins Scott in studio to talk about why he’s running for governor, and the skill sets that he feels make him the ideal candidate for the job. We do a deep dive into the pension ‘reform’ that was done years ago, and Spencer shares his efforts in the General Assembly at the time to try to bring sanity into the negotiations. We even hear about how his own party tried to help his GOP opponent oust him from office! You won’t want to miss this, Spencer is in it to win it! The first segment is on fire as well, Scott takes aim at millennial Michael Rotondo – these two men may share a last name but Scott lays out in no uncertain terms who is the better man. Derelict Dummies #256 6/11/18 - Well there was a party of a show for sure. The guys did an old fashion Dummies’ segment show starting with some views on Robert De Niro’s "fuck Trump" on live TV at the Tony Awards and a tribute to Anthony Bourdain who tragically took his own life (and some of our dreams). Next up was an in depth view of sand (yes like in beach sand) and how it has become an economic commodity with both environmental and criminal implications. The North Korean summit was discussed briefly as well. Then it was a special Ain’t Got Time for This Shit segment where the derelict duo was joined by WBOB personalities Ferro and Scott Rotondo and Buttonwood’s brewery owner Morgan for a lively and brief roundtable on the day’s most pressing news stories.
Shock Treatment #3 6/12/2018 - Good news for all your horror fans. Scare-A-Con is just a few days away. Melissa, aka Mad Mel, and Matty speak with promoter JV Johnson as he discusses which guests will be there, what to expect this year, as well as what goes into putting on a big convention and more.
Psycho Sports #268 6/12/2018 - The basketball season is over and the off season has begun.
Joining the show is Tim Cato of The Athletic to talk all hoops. Where will LeBron James go to this off season? Was that hand injury he gave himself after Game 1 a legit injury or just another excuse to defend the King's failure to win just one game against Golden State? Is Kyrie Irving going to be a Boston Celtic? Tim discusses those questions and more. Also there's a lot of rumblings coming out of Foxborough in the past few weeks with the New England Patriots. What's going on with the Julian Edelman PED suspension and how does it affect both the Pats and the TB12 Team? The Psycho Sports team discusses. NEWBD #5 6/5/18 - The NEWBD boys talk with Maureen and Robin Fabry of the 2017 Brewer’s Association Fast Growing Brewery Craft Roots Brewing in Milford, MA. They discuss the Craft Roots story, what got her started in the beer world, and find out that once again dogs prevail over cats. The guys also play a game called Drink, Age, or Trade with their Local Releases segment, discuss their upcoming Social Calendar, and even give some food pairing tips for your upcoming Fourth of July cookouts. They close with some Local Beer News and as always, Shelfer of the Week. Don’t miss this episode, it’s a real doozie!
The Rotunda #153 6/4/18 - Carolyn Medeiros is the featured this week, talking about her efforts to keep an admitted sexual predator and child rapist away from the public. You will be shocked to hear the risks that we are subjected to in the interests of HIPPA and privacy when it comes to predators. Avid motorcyclist Chad Michael also calls in to discuss safety issues that affect car/ truck drivers as well as motorcyclists. This is especially topical right now, as ‘bike season’ is in full effect!
Social Justice hypocrites get an overdue tongue lashing in the first segment, as Scott lays out his feelings in Samantha Bee, Sally Field – and then he sets his eyes on the gender wage gap! And did he…….really……suggest a Nobel Peace Prize for President Trump?!?!? Derelict Dummies #255 6/4/18 - After many years of absence from the 990WBOB broadcasts, the Dummies pal Tovah stopped in studio for a visit and to chat about a few topics. First the group gave their impressions on the Star Wars box office flop; Solo. Kris and Bob came to defense of Ron Howard’s reshoot and felt as though the intended origin story was told. Then it was on to RI politics and the latest idiot who is incompetent but a hired political hack. Also national politics were discussed pertaining to the ongoing Mueller investigation and Trump’s “self pardon” theory. As always there was allot of humor and some pretty good tunes to boot. Enjoy.
Psycho Sports #267 6/5/2018 - Joining the show to talk all things over at Yawkey Way is Nick Friar of WPRI 12 & WPRO. Did the Red Sox bungle things when they cut ties 1B Hanley Ramirez? How is Alex Cora doing in his first year as the teams skipper? Will the team make a trade to bolster themselves to offset the injuries? Nick answers those questions plus more.
Then finishing up the show is Josh Diemert of SB Nation Yankees to talk all things pinstripes. Does OF Clint Frazier have a spot in the Yankees' outfield? Should have the Yankees gone after J.D. Martinez instead of Giancarlo Stanton? Can the Yankees upgrade their pitching staff? If you're a Yankees fan (looking at you Parente), you don't want to miss this. Wild Side #356 6/5/2018 – Cranston Mayor and RI Gubernatorial candidate Allan Fung joins the show for for a Q&A on his second attempt at the statehouse.
Also joining the fun is the longtime friend of the WildSide, the Real Deal herself Doreen Costa. What has Doreen been up to lately and what’s her take on the latest scandals of the Raimondo administrations? Though the Wild Side format has changed from its previous incarnation, it still holds that same fiery intensity that it always brings each and every night. |
