Derelict Dummies #284 4/1/19 - The Dummies are no fools. On this April 1 addition the guys welcomed Steve Donovan (local guitar phenom and member of The Quahogs) to tag along for the ride. Steve is no stranger to WBOB, he has filled in as co host for Kris a few times and also participated in our online broadcast fundraisers. The group started trying to suss out the aftermath of the completion of the Mueller investigation but it was just wait and see talk really. The fun started when the discussion turned to The Dirt, a rock biop currently on Netflix. Then it was pure vintage Derelict Dummies with just a fun discussion that makes you feel like your in the room...with three bigmouths.
Derelict Dummies #283 3/25/19 - The guys started the show having just returned from the Motif Music Awards. The discussion revolved around how awards are chosen and whether the exposure is beneficial to ones career. Then it was on to thoughts on the Mueller investigation conclusion after two years, indictments and prison time for some of Trump’s closest associates the bottom line is they could not prove collusion with the Russian government. The question of obstruction of justice is probably in the hands of Congress now and let’s not forget the Southern District of NY’s current investigations
Derelict Dummies #281 3/11/19 - This episode focused on local musicians. On a somber note; the show began by discussing the sudden passing's of two area musicians who made their own unique impact. Asa Brebner and Erik “Narwhal” Marzochi both died with in days of each other quite suddenly. Then it was off to a very happy show by having a talk with local musician Dawn Cabral and listening to tunes from her forthcoming release: Drive. Good talk, good music, the Derelict Dummies way.
Derelict Dummies #279 2/11/19 - This episode may be fairly controversial. The Dummies invited a friend to call in and discuss the case of a once up and coming Providence musician who moved to Nashville and in his wake has about 21 women who have come forward to compare notes on his serial sexual and domestic abuse as well as not disclosing an STD which some of the women have contracted. While this Joe Doe is one classic case study, the public scorn, humiliation and fear these women live with is not isolated to this case. A frank discussion with a strong advocate - Kate Conroy - explores this sensitive issue.
