Wild Side Memorial Tribute 7/31/18 – For the better part of the last decade, you heard the fiery voice of the man known as Professor David Clyde. For years he kept the average WBOB joe in the know in the world of news and politics, even dabbling into the world of sports and entertainment. He was an essential part of the 990WBOB family and nobody bled black and white like Clyde. He stuck by his guns but was always up for an open-table discussion or a debate. However back on December in 2017, David Clyde as well as his family and friends were shocked to learn he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. But rather giving into despair, Clyde fought back tooth and nail for months. But in the end,he succumbed to his cancer and passed away on July 21, 2018. This past Tuesday night, 990WBOB held a Wild Side memorial tribute to our fallen Professor. Joining the tribute are those who knew him best and were lucky to call him their friend. People like former RI Rep. Doreen Costa, 'Mr. Rhode Island' himself, Tony Jones, Joe Newby from Conservative Firing Line, Ron Park of Conservative Media Group, the 'Truckin' White Boy' Johnny K, Gonzalo Duran of Devil Dogs USA Incorporated, and those in the WBOB including the 'Truth Warrior' Dan Bidondi and David’s eternal rival, Scott Rotondo of The Rotunda.
There wasn't a dry eye in the house as everybody paid their respects and said their final good bye to a man that has been affectionately nicknamed 'Uncle Dave.' No matter what he was feeling or what time of day, David Clyde always had a smile on his face and a fiery passion within. We will miss you Uncle Dave, we all will miss you. The Wild Side #327 10/10/2017 - Has the student become the teacher? Is the teacher still the teacher? Or is a local radio legend joining the professor for a joint lecture? What is the latest in the Vegas shooting? Does Dave think there's something the media isn't telling us? Does Tony think there were a lot of red flags? They might be “alternative media” but do they also cover (real) alternative stories? Why aren't we talking about ISIS becoming weaker? Tony and Dave discuss. State Representative Moira Walsh joins the duo to tell us what we need to know. What is the state doing to work on helping people who are facing addiction? Is medical marijuana increasing the addiction rate? Should we separate mental health issues from legal issues? How are Vegas residents holding up? Truckin White Boy Johnny K gives us updates on how the Clark County community is doing. The Professor and his T.A. have a lot to say. It's not everyday that you get (or want) two teachers in the classroom for the price of one. Even though it's a special circumstance the bell has rung. Take your seats. Class is in session. The Cafe #299 5/17/17 - In a special edition of the Cafe host Pal was joined by popular WBOB host Wild Side David Clyde.
