The Rotunda #406 03/06/24 - Author David Ostrowsky is the special guest tonight, talking about his book Roberto Alomar: The Complicated Life and Legacy of a Baseball Hall of Famer. This is a great interview talking about the complicated legacy of a Hall of Fame player that kids of my generation marveled at during his playing career. A must listen as we get close to baseball season, and a great book for any baseball fan!! I'm also getting everyone caught up on current events, including the recent SCOTUS decision, and talking about a heartbreaking story of bullying that, left unchecked, took a life. Please be sure to check this out and give a listen and a like!! How will they fare against the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and how can they stop their dominant offense? Can this team find a way to make it to the Elite Eight and beyond?
We also recap the past three Bryant basketball games and take a look at their America East Quarterfinals match-up against Maine this Saturday. Can the Bulldogs pull this off and make it to the semi finals? And how about them Celtics? Are they future champions, or are they just POSERS?! We discuss all that and more here on The Playbook! I'm Dunn With Sports 03/06/24 - For this week's presentation of I'm Dunn With Sports, Erik starts off with a very surprising topic: Matthew Slater officially announces his retirement from the Pats and the NFL after a 16 year career and he breaks down what he meant to Patriots Nation as a player and member of the New England Community. After that, Erik goes to the Boston side of the Bruins who still can't figure out how to win past regulation against the Seattle Kraken, winning an absolute nail-biter over former Head Coach Bruce Cassidy and his Vegas Golden Knights, and getting slaughtered against the New York Islanders while previewing a REALLY TOUGH March with the playoffs on the horizon. Finally, Erik finishes with A LOT of positivity due to how the Celtics can't be stopped AT ALL due to extending their winning streak to 11 while making some unexpected history along the way. Next, Erik goes to the Boston side and for some particular reason, the B’s can’t find a way to win in February as they lost in the Shootout to the Tampa Bay Lightning, got blasted by the Seattle Kraken, and blew the lead 3 times to lose in Overtime again to the L.A Kings. We also have the dashing Scott Rotondo on the program for our second segment when we talk about the oh so depressing Boston Red Sox ownership group. What is this team doing and why won't they continue their spending ways to win. We discuss all that and more tonight on The Playbook. |
