The Rotunda: Pawtucket Trash Talk

​The Rotunda #129 11/20/17 - Scott mixes sports and politics in the first segment, taking both Marshawn Lynch of the Oakland Raiders and President Trump to task over their actions pertaining to the recent Sunday night football game in Mexico City. Listen in and judge for yourself, did Lynch squander his opportunity to spark change? Should POTUS micromanage every little thing? He shares how the minority party plans to try and balance the scales on smith hill, and also drops a hint about a potential rematch in the Speaker’s district!
 
Focus swings back to Pawtucket in the third segment. Pawtucket city councilor Tim Rudd and concerned taxpayer Patricia St. Germain join the Rotunda to talk about a plan to devastate the Fairlawn neighborhood by relocating a waste transfer station right near local businesses. What effect could this have on quality of life in the area? Would the community lose all its character, and more importantly, can you really fight city hall and win? Does Pawtucket really have to be in the trash business while still trying to attract and keep an artisan community?  Tune in and find out what’s got taxpayers steaming man, and you’ll want to join the fight as well!
