Nothing like welcoming the summer season than a trip to the old ballpark. After a 6-game road trip, the PawSox returned home for a much extended home stand. First up in the home stand were their International North divisional rivals, the Syracuse Chiefs.
Joining the PawSox in their home stand was Boston Red Sox utility man (and current left fielder) Brock Holt on a 20-day injury rehab assignment after suffering a concussion back on May 19 and staying on the disabled list since then.
The PawSox were able to take the series opener with a 3-1 victory over the Chiefs. Two of the PawSox runs came off the bat of SS Ryan Court (2 RBIs), who was just called up from Double-A Portland earlier in the day. PawSox starter Sean O’Sullivan got the win (his 5th win of the season that leads the team) on a pitching performance that saw him go 8 innings while giving up 7 hits, 1 run, and striking out 4 Chief batters. After the game, PawSox skipper Kevin Boles sat down for his usual Q & A with the media to talk about a variety of topics such as his team’s performance during the game, the Triple-A debut of SS Ryan Court, and much more. Also a bonus interview with Sean O’Sullivan talking about his performance in the game, how he fared against the Syracuse Chiefs, and more. Better click play or you’ll miss out.
