Last year, the PawSox had three southpaws with major league talent -- Eduardo Rodriguez, Brian Johnson, and Henry Owens. All three were called up to the show during the season, and all three claimed future spots in the Red Sox rotation. But that was in 2015. 2016 is whole new year, and I was able to talk with the 23-year old Owens, who looks to earn a trip back to Boston. Listen to the one-on-one interview with Henry Owens below
Standing at 6 foot, 6 inches, Henry Owens towers over a lot of people. However he has only one thing he likes to focus on -- finding ways to help his team win.
On Media Day, I had a brief Q&A with the southpaw. During the interview, Owens weighs in on a multitude of topics -- from his first MLB start, to the reality check he experienced in his first time in the Red Sox clubhouse, his goals for 2016, and much more. If you want to see Owens pitch live, you can get your first chance this Thursday when he takes the mound for the PawSox' season opener against the Buffalo Bisons at 7:00 p.m.
