By Scoop Fox Hey everybody, it’s that time of the week for your Weekly PawSox update on 990WBOB. As we enter the hot, muggy days of summer, one thing is for certain that the only thing hotter than the temperatures are your Pawtucket Red Sox. Where They Stand As it stands, the PawSox are still at top of the IL North with an impressive 50-29 record, 9 games ahead of the Leigh High Valley IronPigs. This is the third consecutive year they have 50 wins before the All-Star break. They’re 9-1 in their last 10 games, including a 6-game winning streak. During their 8-game road trip in Ohio, they went 7-1. The only loss was against the Toledo Mud Hens. In the bullpen, Ryan Rowland-Smith is rejoined with fellow 5-game winner Pedro Beato to lead the PawSox bullpen. However in Pedro’s absence, Rowland-Smith solidified himself as the top relief pitcher. To go with his 5 wins, Rowland-Smith leads relievers in ERA (1.03) and innings pitched (43.2). Fellow relief pitcher Jose De La Torre leads the bullpen in opponent batting average (.157) and is tied with CP Anthony Carter in strikeouts (42).
