Sundays are Family FunDays, when all fans can run the bases after the 1:05 p.m. game. This Friday, May 13, before the 7:05 p.m. game, early arrivals can take pictures on the field with several players from approximately 5:45-6 pm and then with PawSox mascots from 6-6:15 p.m. To accommodate as many fans as possible, the club encourages selfies but does not permit autographs. On SuperSox Saturday at 6:05 p.m., the club will celebrate Paws’ birthday. The first 3,000 fans receive authentic canvas art of Paws presented by Cox Communications and can receive autographs from a host of Paws’ friends—nearly a dozen popular mascots—in the PawSox Fan Center during the game. Before the game, children can come down on the field to sing “Happy Birthday” to Paws in person, who will be accompanied by his dear friend and sidekick, Sox.
Also this weekend, the club will present its first 2016 “PawSox Baseball Clinic” for all kids from 2-3 p.m. The sessions, presented by Citizens Bank, include in-person instruction from coaches and players. Children can also receive autographs from the players afterwards (3-3:15 p.m.). The homestand continues with a MyHero Monday recognizing the Nathaniel Greene Homestead, a TV Tuesday honoring Ken Bell, both at 7:05 p.m., and then a special morning matinee at 11 a.m. featuring another Women & Baseball Wednesday starring PawSox college softball players. The Gwinnett Braves provide the opposition this weekend, and the Orioles’ Norfolk Tides visit Monday through Wednesday.
