Pointing to his plan to create jobs in Rhode Island, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 99 have endorsed Seth Magaziner for Rhode Island General Treasurer.

“Seth has consistently stood with hard working Rhode Islanders and will fight for good jobs. Seth understands how the Treasurer’s office can be used to spur our economy and put Rhode Islanders back to work,” said Michael Daley, Business Manager of IBEW Local 99. “This makes Seth the clear choice for our members and all Rhode Islanders who want to see Rhode Island get back on track.”
IBEW Local 99 represents contract electrical workers throughout Rhode Island.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of IBEW Local 99. I am deeply optimistic about the future of Rhode Island, but we have been struggling to keep and create good jobs and get our economy growing for too long,” said Magaziner. “I’m running for Treasurer because I know the office can and must be used to get the economy growing again. I look forward to working with the brothers and sisters of IBEW to invest in Rhode Island and put our state back to work.”

IBEW Local 99 joins the Rhode Island AFL-CIO, SEIU State Council, NEA Rhode Island, IATSE Stagehands Local 23, United Nurses and Allied Professionals, Teamsters Local 251, SEIU 1199 New England, SEIU Local 401, SEIU Local 580, International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 11, Sheet Metal Workers Local 17, UFCW Local 328, UFCW Local 791, UA Local 51 Plumber’s Union, UNITE HERE Local 217, and Ironworkers Local 37 in endorsing Magaziner.

Rhode Island, Young Democrats of Rhode Island, Rhode Island National Organization for Women, Rhode Island Progressive Democrats, Central Falls Mayor James Diossa, Lt. Governor Elizabeth Roberts, former Congressman Patrick Kennedy, and former President Bill Clinton.
