I discovered Manchester 65 in 2014 during a blood pressure exercise called Facebook. I follow some people in local political circles who were holding regular gatherings there and advertising there, while also following some fellow Deadheads and Indy-Jam fans in Rhode Island that were posting regularly about snappy musical events happening at Manchester 65 in West Warwick. I've made a couple incognito recon visits there to check it out before.
It's a nice place for what it does. It easily hosts a decent musical act, has a heck of a new, state required fire suppression system ( right?), and darn it if you can't drink and swear all you like with a clean glass in there. The thing is, there's must be hundreds of joints in Rhody that it could sneer down upon.
Months and months go by: Next thing I know, the local media is telling me that it's a devil's den of leather clad perversion and illicit debauchery.
Now that a local paper scribbler has alerted the other peckers to the vast conspiracy theory about Manchester 65. Twisted tales bloated with revelations of sweaty leather parties and swinging S&M spank-offs echoing out daily from Manchester 65. Worst of all, It has a partial owner who is provably, directly linked if not hand picked by Governor Raimondo to do some economic stuff that nobody knows or cares about. Imagine how much more this twisted tale could unfold.
I think that all the owners of this club deserve a 5-star lawsuit against anyone who harmed their business reputation and profitability by way of slander and defamation.
