An undercover prostitution sting conducted by Pawtucket Police over the weekend led to the arrest of 12 men.
According to the Providence Journal, police initiated the operation after a noticeable increase in suspected prostitution in the area of Dexter and Barton Streets. Undercover police officers disguised as prostitutes posed in the neighborhood Friday evening where twelve men attempted to obtain sexual services in exchange for money.
The men were charged Monday with procurement of sexual conduct for a fee at the Providence District Court.
