POW!! defines themselves as finely crafting face melting prog rock from Rhode Island that takes off running through brick walls and corn mazes with intensity and ferocity that reckons with most futuristic space guns. With influences from King Crimson, Porcupine Tree, The Beets, ELP and Yes, "POW!!" generates a collage of sound that amazes and confuses you.           990WBOB.COM is proud to have Joseph Clark, better known as Poochie, perform a Hang Drum Solo (pronounced Hung) for station listeners and patrons of The Apartment. This unique instrument uses the same physical principles of a steel pan, but is certainly it's own one-of-a-kind resonating percussion instrument.  People are drawn to it's fantastic and mesmerizing tone.  The top of each hand crafted Hang has 6-9 indentations arranged in a Tone Circle around a central dome.  The dome is called a DING, striking it creates a gong like sound.  Each Tone Circle is tuned to create individual notes unique to each Hang.  A hand sized hole, called a GU, at the bottom of each Hang creates the instruments haunting, resonating sound.
