 Derelict Dummies #278 2/4/19 - All over the place on this episode. Things started off with a Dummy analysis of the Patriots Superbowl win. There was also some discussion on the halftime show and the backlash regarding the Maroon 5 performance (for being boring!?!). Then things got weird. What started as a discussion of misogynistic assault, revealed some edgy local rumors that have recently resurfaced regarding bad behavior within our own community. Some politics as well.  Derelict Dummies #277 1/28/19 - You might say this episode of Derelict Dummies is out of this world. At least planet Earth. The jestering gents took a slight break from politics as they discussed the inevitability of extraterrestrial life. But wait, there’s more! How about a whole presentation of the theory that our moon is actually a space station inhabited by a secret alien base? The scientific significance is debatable, but the message is clear; these guys are spaceshots.

 Derelict Dummies #275 12/10/18 - Donald Trump became the 45th President of the United States. How he eventually got elected encompasses many factors from voter apathy for Hillary Clinton to a surprise under-performance from a crowded GOP field of 17 candidates. But looming over his fractured victory was also the proven interference by Russian operatives after a thorough investigation by the CIA and the FBI which led to an independent prosecutor investigation. With me so far? In this episode the derelict duo go out on a limb and discuss the impending articles of impeachment or resignation of this failure chief executive.
 Derelict Dummies #274 12/3/18 - In this episode, the guys recognize the passing of the 41st President George Herbert Walker Bush. Who was the real George HW? War hero? Oil tycoon? CIA Director? Maybe all of the above and more. The Dummies even go back to his infamous father, banker and one term Senator Prescott Bush. What is the FBI’s J.Edgar Hoover’s memo tell us about the young man who would become POTUS? And yes there is a Nixon and Gerald Ford connection regarding the Warren Commission and the JFK assassination. A good hour of history and humor.
 Derelict Dummies #273 11/26/18 - The stonerific duo return following their break and get right down to business. Kris explains his horrific encounter with a mac truck and the boys get caught up on current events as only they can.
 Derelict Dummies #269 10/15/18 - Well the Dummies were in quite the mood on this episode. In between some cool tunes the guys bantered about many topics in the news today. The focus came into play when The McGunks’ drummer Bobby Forand called in to chat about a writing/readings workshop series he is starting once a month at Askew in downtown Providence. The kick off is next week (10/22) and the discussion focused on what to expect and also a little about the discipline and need for feedback that writers share. Then it was back to free for all chaos as the Derelicts tried to make sense of some of the bizarre happenings in the news from environmental issues to the dismembering of a journalist in a Saudi embassy. Warning: Listening to this pastcast may induce a chuckle or two.
 Derelict Dummies #268 10/8/18 - Why the fuss over the confirmation of (now) Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh? What difference does it make that he was wild in high school and college? Well if the stories, and yes there are many stories, are true then it’s important to note that your behavior when you’re young determines what kind of adult you’ll become. But don’t take the Dummies word for it. Once again guest host and child development therapist Beth Barron joins the guys to discuss early behavior patterns and their effect on adult decisions and actions. Is it biological? Environmental?  Derelict Dummies #266 9/24/18 - The double D’s paid homage to the one and only Fred McFeeley Rogers. The theme of the episode was normal child development (a passion for Mr. Rogers) and in studio guest Beth Barron a therapist who works both physically (yoga) and behavioral methodologies joined the conversation that reflected on the documentary (Won’t You Be My Neighbor?) as well as the importance of both positive and negative exposure to a developing child and how it stays with us through adulthood. Pretty heady stuff for these guy’s usual levity, but one of the most interesting episodes in recent memory. You owe it to yourself to listen.
 Derelict Dummies #264 9/10/18 - Dummies Kris left Bob so he could go on a sea cruise with his family, but Joe Ferro filled in as guest host and it became a Franchise Revival! First segment we had acknowledged WBOB political guru Scott Rotondo hold over from his show as we discussed the upcoming statewide primaries and what a major national election the midterms in November will be. We also got a call from new horror show host Lee Anne to talk about October programs that will feature some great guests from Hollywood’s spook factories of film. And we tested various flavored stouts to mark the Fall chilly preview of weather. Love this episode
