The Rotunda #496 05/13/26 - It's another hard-hitting episode of the Rotunda as the show inches ever so closer to that 500-episode mark. Once again, Producer Ryan Fox slides over into the host seat as fellow producer Matt Carvalho joins him in studio. Tonight's episode, the two lead off with the shocking development up in Cambridge, Massachusetts as there was an active shooting in the middle of a day. The worst part is that the offender had been in jail for a similar offense before but a judge decided to let him out early. Is this the new norm for the judicial system? Should judges who fail to perform their duty/let out criminals early be held responsible as well (i.e. how a bartender can be held responsible for a drunk driver). The duo then pay their respects to former NBA player Jason Collins, who was the first professional athlete in the 4 major sports to come out as homosexual back in 2013, as he passed away earlier in the week at the age of 45. How did his coming out change modern sports as well as society? How inspirational was he? Plus Matt made a very important announcement in regards to Election 2026 that could affect the future of the city of Pawtucket (aka, Scott's home city). All that and more on the latest episode.
