On December 1, 1968-- The Boston Patriots defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 33-14 in what would be the last-ever football game at Fenway Park.

Yes, that Fenway Park...
Few remember--because most of us weren't yet born-- that America's oldest baseball park was also one of the first dual-purpose stadiums in the United States.  Back in 1926, the Boston Bulldogs of the AFL called Fenway home, and the Boston Redskins of the NFL played there from 1933-1936.
Now, it has been announced that football will be returning to the Cathedral of Boston in 2015; ending a drought of nearly 47 years.

On November 21, 2015 the Boston College Eagles will host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as part of the Shamrock Series.  The two Jesuit schools have had a storied rivalry, known as the Holy War, dating back to 1975.
