Mingo was drafted by the Cleveland Browns sixth overall in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at LSU.

At 6'4" and 240 lbs., Mingo possesses the size and skill to play both inside and outside linebacker. He has amassed 108 tackles, 7 sacks, 11 pass deflections, and 1 interception in 46 career games. ​
