If someone had told me at the peak of The Cosby Show’s rating dominance that it’s producer, star and creator Bill Cosby (a celebrated performer) would be serving prison time for sexual assault, I would have thought “What next!? Trump as President!?!” Social awareness of male sexual predators escalated exponentially in just the last 36 months. Let’s look at the carnage for the successful powerful male, thanks to #metoo and a concerted wave of women coming forward:

On a warm, sunny day the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Syracuse Mets squared off against each other in the weekend series finale for a Sunday matinee. Winners of 2 out of the 3 previous games in the series, the PawSox looked to win the 3rd game of the series while the Mets looked to try and even the series at 2-2. Taking the mound for the home team was RHP Ryan Weber (0-0, 4.50), who was in search of his first victory of the season. The Mets countered with RHP Zach Lee (0-0, 16.88) who was also in the same position as Weber. The pre-game ceremonies went off with a hit, the anthem was sang, and we were underway at McCoy. If you’ve been watching the Celtics this season, you probably have no idea what to feel about them heading into the postseason. Between flashes of brilliance, this team has gone through spells where they wouldn’t compete with the worst of the league.

Well it’s official. Tebowmania has come to Pawtucket, Rhode Island! Yup you read that right, Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL QB Tim Tebow has come to McCoy Stadium. Not as a special guest but as a member of the Syracuse Mets playing against the hometown Pawtucket Red Sox. |
