Rhode Island's Resolutions - According to the WBOB Personalities

Each week the WBOB personalities work diligently both on the air and via our blogs to inform and entertain. This week a few of the gang weighed in on what the state of RI should focus on in the new year.  Of course there was no shortage of opinions, many to graphic to post.  However we selected for you, the opinions that manage to relate to the majority the state's citizens.

A New Year Resolution RI - There are many who purport to be the voice of RI, when in fact the best part of the many voices in contemporary RI politics, meaning ( It's happening now, we are making history, we are the ones who care and pay attention to the best ideas on the moves forward for the state ) , is in fact we are special, we are blessed, we all have a deep honor, we have kept a balance of power and people. In times of difficulty we have allowed our neighbors home to be stolen by the courts and banks, those friends when the sun is and those that take homes and cars in the night. Everywhere on this Earth we ask for terms of bankers to be softened, extended, reduced. As they Lobby for pension reform, We lobby for Homes, A refinance Plan, More money for Main Street to refinance and build a better tomorrow.

Investment in Rhode Island. A Legislature Bold for Investment in Rhode Island. A Governor leading the path with a vision and unabashed activism for one reason. The Jobs and homes for the people of Rhode Island. Business conditions that sound " We are poised for growing our economy", our Historic State is vibrant with a new generation making room themselves comfortable not desperate. That is Hope. That is our wish. That is our work for 2014 so that on this day in 2015 we will know that opportunity is real and more than a wish ,, Todd Giroux for Governor 2014

If I were the state of Rhode Island my new years resolution would be that the state not only register non-gun owners but also charge them for not having a gun.  Under the new resolution Rhode Island would become the first state to require a permit for the luxury of traipsing about unarmed and assess a fee of $500 for the privilege of not owning a gun.
This wouldn't be the first time in America that such a law was passed.  In Kennesaw, GA, gun ownership has been mandatory since 1982 with a fine of $100 being levied for violators.  In contrast to the hysteria the gun control zealots were expounding at the time, crime was drastically lowered while the population skyrocketed.

The Dip - Sports Contributor

If the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations made a New Year's resolution it would probably resolve to raise taxes and subsequently spend the new dollars on everything except education and infrastructure.  That's right dumb kids and pot holes! 2014 here we come.
