Top 5 Fall Fails

The temperature has dropped the leaves are changing colors and the calendar has officially marked the season as Autumn. This season is best known for such wonders as football, feasts, and apple pies but with the good comes the bad. For every holiday comes an annual nuisance. In this top five we break down the most failing trends or products of the season. 

#5 - Horror Sequels - There are certainly no shortage of examples on this profound fall fail. It seems that any successful Halloween thrillers or slasher flicks are almost automatically granted a myriad of sequels. Look at the Halloween franchise, we all love the 1978 classic but did that warrant some ten sequels/reboots? I think not.  Friday The 13th has 11 total editions, Nightmare On Elm St 8 films, Hellraiser has a total of 9 movies in their franchise. Need I go on? We all love a good scare but let's stop beating the same villain's story-line to a bloody death Hollywood. ​

#4 - Candy Corn Memes - I love candy Corn and so do most of sugar junkies. Yet it's as if Candy Corn is the Trump of candy. Think about it. No one admits they like it but wherever you go there it is. Stacks and stacks, bags and bags every store everywhere. For a candy that according to social media's annoying memes no one likes they sure do sell a lot of it.

#3 - "Spiked" Halloween Treats -  Have you seen these "warnings" about the fear of evil diabolical "potheads" spiking their Halloween chocolates and gifts to harm the children of their communities? This theory is the exact dictionary's example of ridiculous. First of all what stoner in any frame of mind would just give away laced treats to complete strangers? Second of all just stop it.  Clearly no one thought this through. What exactly are we afraid here? Tell your kids not to eat anything that's not in a wrapper. Hasn't that always been really the only rule for trick or treating?

#2 - Christmas Music - On behalf of radio listeners everywhere let me just make this clear, Christmas music should not be played until after Thanksgiving. I love the most wonderful time of the year but give me a break. There is a time and place for everything. In the case of Christmas music we don't need or want it until after turkey day. 

#1 - Pumpkin Flavored Garbage  - Pumpkin pie ok. The world does not need pumpkin ice cream, candy, nuts, cookies, granola bars, yogurts, cereals or even coffee. Did you know you can even purchase a pumpkin flavored spam?
