At a recent visit to their 25 Carrington Street location you see the culmination of a full service business not quite seven years old but already in their second upgraded storefront. They carry a product line that covers backpacking, biking, canoeing/Kayaking (they can launch you from their front door) and full fishing tackle; including providing a fishing license.

The expert staff is friendly with a laid back patience that invites questions from beginners as well as seasoned enthusiasts. Owner/operators Don Martin and Mark Pawlitschek are also able to provide clinics and guided tours of the river with equipment rentals as an optional add on.

You can tell they take pride in being a team player in the restoration of the Blackstone River, which at its worst went from the bleached dumping grounds of the old mill days, to an increase of indigenous fish population from a low of two to the current 19. They share the community's goal of getting the river to 100% by 2015.
