Bradley Cooper as a talking racoon!!!

The official Guardians of the Galaxy trailer came out this week. It is definitely a little strange but I like it! Starring Bautista, a green lady, tree-beard and the above mentioned Cooper. A few people think this movie might be stupid...I think they are stupid.

The Guardians of the Galaxy are a team of interstellar super heroes that started in a comic all the way back in 1969. They battled interstellar foes in an alternate earth timeline far in the future. The upcoming movie is not about them.

Dan Abnett, the author of "The Horus Heresy" rebooted the Guardians franchise in 2008 with the amazing and crazy roster that was unveiled  in the trailer. Sassy astronaut from earth lost in time, two alien bad asses, a mono-syllabic speaking tree and a raccoon with guns. On this surface this looks really dumb, I get it. However if you really are a comics fan, and you probe deeper into this very classic comic story of time travel and space shenanigans, I have a feeling you will like it.

It is worth mentioning that on the creative side of the screen there is a strange and wonderful name, James Gunn. Director of Thor: the Dark World, a writer of a handful of Classic Troma movies, and Super. This should be pretty crazy. I sadly have not watched Super but heard it was amazing! So it will be interesting to see what the writer of that movie does with a (barely) talking tree. I am very excited about this and if you wanna duke it out over it "looking stupid" please comment or call in during GG so I can collect your tears.
