THE PODCAST: COMICS CORNER 8/28/13

This past Wednesday was our first show back at our new time slot (7 PM) and this time we are inside the Tower of The Historic Pawtucket Armory, just under the rampart. So boss! 

It is great to be back though while we were gone, Bruce and I stayed very busy. When we weren't doing shows we were fillming sketches for One Armed Bald Guy. Please subscribe for updates.

RA Bartlett (Top Right) is getting to the bottom of it all.

Bruce talked about his progress in stand-up, a keen follow up to his past blog-u-mentary, "Standing Up On My Own." We were joined in Studio by comedians Kenny Nardozza and RA Bartlett. Kenny is a regular guest and host of our new segment; A Metal Moment with Moshing Maniac.

On the phones we had Actress and Comedian Erica Rhodes, who was featured in a photo bomb in Comedy On Us Vol. 1.

Erica talked about her career as an actress and her recent foray into stand-up comedy. Two things to check out would be the Radio Show turned Podcast she has been performing on since childhood, Prairie Home companion and a web series that she starred in on Youtube with over 80,000 hits, Upstairs Girls.

Coming to Comics Corner will be Comedy Writer, Joe Toplyn

Joe has written for Late Night for both Letterman and Leno's shows and has written for sitcoms and Television shows. My favorite being MONK from the USA Network. Joe wrote on seasons three through eight.

Joe teaches a class at The People's Theater in Manhattan and is writing a book based on the class due out by the end of the year. The book and class are about how to write for late night TV.

LEFT: Obese Bruce, RIGHT: Danny Decay

Public nuisance turned internet sensation, Osama Bin Reagan, the first and thankfully only Punk-a-pella band to date recently headlined Radio in Somerville, MA this past week. I was not there as I left before their set. Reports and pictures from the event indicate that once again Osama Bin Reagan has trashed a venue and take comedy and music to the extreme. They will return to Radio, 381 Somerville Ave, Somerville, MA September 24th, 2013, just $5!! Go to it, I dare you! The Show is called, "Let's Get Weird."
