Overkill launched in 1984 and since that time produced fifteen studio albums that thrashed.  Now the band is celebrating its 30th Anniversary with the new release of "Ironbound" on E1 Music plus a North American tour with support from Vader, God Dethroned, Wabringer, Evile and Woe of Tyrants. A tour that will leave metal heads everywhere headbanging like its 1985.  There are few names in the thrash metal scene as respected as Overkill.  The resurgence of metal 80's thrash in music world has this band poised to return to the top. Overkill are always ready to show metal heads they still have what it takes and are geared up to teach new schoolers how it’s done.  Metal heads always seem to have a different account of who came first in the world of New York/New Jersey area thrash, however with the sound of their new album, it appears certain that New Jersey’s Overkill have survived the longest, and have never let their fans down by remaining with the sound of metal and true to their roots for over 30 years strong.
