Skid Row is back with new plans to conquer the world. This all came together in an Atlanta recording studio, but it's a different time, a different industry, so they decided to record a series of EPs instead of a full-length album. They may have got older, but Skid Row never grew up. United World Rebellion is still youth gone wild, their musical spark still burning gasoline. United World Rebellion — Part 1 is Skid Row coming out swinging, however, this is chapter 2 so lets hope the spark is still there raging. Duh! Everything You Know Is Wrong Bruce Botelho Jr. Right now West Africa is host to the worst Ebola outbreak in history. Over 900 of the 1600 infected have died causing the leaders of those countries to back out of a US led business summit of African nations. John Boehner took exception to this, "Again we witness Obama's lack of leadership." He said while sipping a margarita on the deck of his vacation home. "Either that or these leaders don't know what public service is all about." Kent Brantley, a US doctor working to contain the Ebola outbreak, was flown to America to receive an experimental vaccine after he contacted the deadly disease. No one who protested the supposedly, "infected" immigrant children crossing the US border could be reached for comment. If this treatment works it would replace the current treatment of, "oral rehydration therapy," or if you want to get technical, "drink lots of Gatorade." Though it may be hard to convince citizens of west Africa to take an experimental drug. Apparently Africans have a hard time trusting western civilizations which may seem unreasonable if you ignore every interaction between the West and Africa. Seriously though, it's not easy finding the humor in Ebola because it's a horrible disease. You can contract it and remain symptom free for up to three weeks. It's symptoms include fever, joint ache, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting and internal/external bleeding which can lead to organ failure and death. But I'm not worried about an outbreak in America. It can easily be contained here with our up to date sterilization and medical technology. I'm much more concerned about an unimpeded outbreak in Africa killing millions and seamlessly spreading to the rest of the world. It's in America's and the world's best interest to eliminate Ebola in Africa, and fortunately America is into looking compassionate (kinda) at the moment so we won't just bomb the outbreak sites, but I'm sure we'll reconsider if Ebola starts causing pathological aggression in corpses.
