October is nearing an end. We have a great couple shows to close it out as well as a new FREE monthly Live Comedy showcase kicking off this Sunday. More below, we have lots to cover. 

Greetings From Tromaville!!

Celebrating nearly 40 years of independent film making, TROMA studios and Lloyd Kaufman have been on the forefront of grade A trash cinema. 

Lloyd's films often parody social media and hold society up to a satirical mirror. Everything from crack babies to school shootings. Even popular film archetypes like Veterans and Nazis get a good hosing. 

Tonight we will be talking to Lloyd about comedy in Horror. And all of the in between. Troma has been here among us for almost 40 years and have inspired art and started artists that may shock you to know.

The Road to Tromaville is paved in Melons!

You all may or may not know, Comic's Corner co host Bruce Botelho Jr and I along with Jenn Blake of Jblake media, produce sketch comedy. Bruce and I are big Troma fans, heck we may put the fan in fanatical! We apply Troma's 3 rules of production:
1.) Safety to Humans

2.) Safety to People's Property

3.) Make a Good Movie! 
Hel we even have them printed on a sign and posted on production.

Lots of times, myself and or Bruce will have an idea for a Tromatic effect and build something around it. In the sketch below we tackled the HEAD CRUSH! Done is classic Troma style, with a Melon and lots of meat and blood! I remember turning to Lloyd Kaufman's second book for the recipe; "Make Your Own Damn Movie!"

After we finished the sketch I reached out to Lloyd on Twitter to see if he would view it. He gave us an ReTweet and commented on the video itself! Check it out below and show some love if you are feeling it.

A New Free Monthly Stand Up Show

Hey all, I have a new free monthly Comedy show for you all to come out too. On a Sunday each month we will be featuring some great up and coming Comedians and special guests all for Free! 7pm shows and in a Comic Book Store to boot. This Month's show is the first show and the grand opening!
