Hang out with visiting breweries in an intimate setting while sampling their limited releases, specialty and small batch brews ! Saturday will consist of 2 sessions (noon-3 pm & 4-7 pm) under a spacious tent at the Great Friends Meeting House in downtown Newport, RI! Saturday will highlight “Beta beers” never-before-tasted (in Rhody) from beers not available in Rhode Island to something special not yet released, the real hard to get stuff! Brewers will also offer their staple favorites, so you won’t miss out on the classics!
The festival also emphasizes Rhode Island beers and its proceeds benefit the Rhode Island Brewers Guild, a not for profit organization that supports Ocean State craft breweries. Visit “Guild Row” a special area under the festival tent to easily access all the Rhody beers and Guild Breweries in one spot! Over the last 3 years, the Festival has raised an estimated $40,000 for the Guild and hopes to continue that trend. "What makes the NCBF unique is the that each brewery station is staffed by the production and/or in-house crew so guests can learn more about their favorite brew from the people who help design, make and market it! explains Festival Director, Taylor Butzbach. “The focus the festival puts on the brewers and their time makes this festival standout, as well,” adds Brent Ryan President RIBG/co-founder Newport Storm Beer. “As brewers ourselves, we know how much time and effort it takes to participate in a festival. The priority at the NCBF is to be a good host to both our guests and participating brewers and show how much we appreciate them. We want both groups to enjoy their time in legendary Newport as much as we enjoy having them at our festival.” Guests will have the opportunity to sample beers from all the breweries present, keep the commemorative tasting glass, and declare their favorite brewery by voting for the 3rd Annual Fan Favorite Award, as well as get a taste of the ‘local flavor’ from Newport restaurants offering their best plates while listening to live bands at each session. This is strictly a 21+ event. Friday VIB tickets are $35, and Saturday tickets are $45, available now at www.NewportCraftBeer.com. Space is limited to 75 tickets on Friday, and 550 for each session on Saturday. Tickets include admission, unlimited beer samples, live music and a souvenir glass (and are nonrefundable).
