Kevin Aherne - KA@990WBOB.com February is Black History Month... and Canned Food Month. It is also National Cherry Month, National Grapefruit Month, National Children's Dental Health Month; I could go on. But wait, isn't February also about Valentine's Day? Or the birthdays of two of America's greatest Presidents, Washington and Lincoln? For such a small month, February certainly has a lot of nationally designated days, in fact, there are more "days" in February... than days. Here are the highlights...
It gets sweeter. The 15th is National Gumdrop Day, followed up by National Almond Day on February 16th, National Chocolate Mint Day (Feb. 19), National Cherry Pie Day (Feb. 20), and National Sticky Bun Day on February 21st. If you are thirsty, or an alcoholic; National Margarita Day falls on February 22nd, followed by National Kahlua Day on the 27th. The month finishes up with a powerful trifecta of National Floral Design Day, National Public Sleeping Day, and National Tooth Fairy Day. I can't wait for March... and dozens more national days.
